This project was the first sizeable commercial project in Napa where the design reflected our Water Wise philosophy. The Rep for this large plumbing supplier was wonderfully open-minded enough to say he knew they were trying something different from the usual neglected-over-time sprayed groundcover shrubs and a tree or two, but to go ahead and go for it.

A rolling landscape was created for interest, with the wood bark mulch and a curvilinear area of Decomposed granite contrasting and highlighting the selected plants.  This project turned out to be a great example of a landscape maturing into the way it should look after one or two seasons. Take note that the first spring after planting the project looked bare and void of plants or personality.  The next spring was cause for very happy employees.
