All of the Landscape Architects in the Greater Napa Valley region were invited to compete in an open competition, in partnership with a Landscape Contractor, to prepare and present a Design & Install Proposal for a Water Wise Demonstration Garden to be built in Northwest Napa. 

 Teaming up with Van Windens Landscaping, our entry made it from the Semifinals to the winning entry.  Our design featured a dry stream to overlay an existing unsightly drainage channel, adding boulders and plants such as hybridized wild Pacific Iris to help suggest a stream. 

 Other created areas included Lawn Alternatives, Colorful Natives and Water Wise Color. The educational opportunity was augmented with the creation of Plant name tags, inspired by the room name tags in office buildings.
